I have another problem with my backup solution.
Since my battery was draining while I hooked my return pump to the battery (which was connected to a charger), I thought there must be a problem. Phoned the guys today and they say that the way I connected everything will not work for my application.
Apparently if the inverter does not have a built in transfer switch, the battery will get damaged since it will be getting a constant high voltage from the charger. No I cant go and spend another 4K on a inverter so I want to know if there are ways of adding a separate transfer switch.
Any sparkies out there in the know who can assist. Does everyone else have a inverter with built in transfer switch?
