I've been thinking since I hooked my return up to the inverter. Would it be ok to run the return for 30mins and then off for 30mins. The return is about 3000LPH after headloss and total volume is 600L. Very low bioload, only a few corals.
With this on-off routine you can effectively double the backup time. And 3000LPH for 30mins means a total turnover of 2.5X during on time. If we could leave it on for shorter or off for longer then you get even more time out of the battery.
Any thoughts on this?
