So i got an urchin the other day.
I dont have a picture of it but i can explain what he looks like.
green / purple with short white spines.
He looks like a collector urchin.
He was motoring around the tank nicely all over till yesterday. Where he started loosing his spines. I know this is not a good sign.
He still has some of his spines left. And i can see them move so looks like he's still alive. But he's not moving.
My first question is what would he eat? I know most of them eat algae, nori and coralline.
The second question is how do i know he's dead and do urchins contaminate tanks and release toxin's into the water?
