I have been wanting to clean the skylight over my tank for a while now as I know it is affected by dust, and no rain for four months or so. Also the light in my tank at midday is a little yellower than before.
I cleaned it and at midday say a huge difference in the whiteness of the light, much whiter and crisper.
I did a test on another sky light that I could do a proper comparitive test on.
Before cleaning par level 870.
After 1490
71% increase in light.
Corals are going to love me once they get over the shock.:)
Remember to clean your lights, it's far more important than you think. Don't waste your electricity and bulbs.
