I just saw my first sign of life...!!:thumbup: It looks like the body of a Crab, but has tenticles and it's see-thru...and just walked across my "sand" to another Live Rock...:P What is this little thing and is it a good thing or a bad thing in my Tank..it's about 1cm in length, tenticles stretched out...maybe 1 and a half...:eek:

Squamipinus.
Mauritian
Lots of Queen goldies and some rather unusual fish in on Thursday.
Today also Tangs, Powder blues, clown tang, yellow doctor tang.
Stunning array of wrasses, and angels and gobies.
Also beautiful anenomies, and softies.
Corals coming on Thursday will be mind blowing.
Pop through and see them, or come through to visit.

i feed ocean nutrition frozen food at night ! as we know the cube sizes are about 1cm cubed !
how much should i be feeding ? how many blocks per feeding
i feed flakes and pelletts twice a day as well as got anthias and chromis
i have about
15 chromis
7 anthias
7 tangs
4 angels
2 gobies
1 wrasse
few shrimps
my skimmer is good and works well

Do you really need a skimmer?

I have been having a debate on whether a fish only tank would REALLY require a skimmer system in the sump. A friend of mine insists that a sump with a trickle system is more that enough for a fish only tank.
What you guys think?

Garlic - YAY or NAY?

Hi all,
I have been reading on the MASA forum and I don't want to start a all out war here again but has anyone bought "Ocean Nutrition Algae" lately... all of them come with garlic in them - you have no choice and it's enough to keep all vampires away for at least block... but with that been said, I haven't looked at other brands. There is a brightwell product called "garlic powder - which is actually a liquid and POTENT!!!" and they all say "It's a miracle cure but not to be used as a medication" - I thought that the miracle cure was beetroot and a shower :tt2:
I know some members here are going to say "you don't get garlic in NSW" but you also don't get a lot of the chemicals used for medicating fish, copper comes to mind straight away as well as the chemical used to treat worms - name alludes me now and the new product been punted - the coral dip...
What are your opinions here... I'm not wanting - your fish will die in "x" days when some people have been using it for years... just looking for peoples experiences with it
