hi, i am selling my tank its a full system which consists of tank = 91 cm length x 34cm width x64cm high

10 mm glass with 12mm base. 2 x 54w t-5 ballast with two t-5 39w tubes(blue and osram skywhite)

heater 200w . uplift pump (laguna) great pump. skimmer boyu but it has a mesh moded regent pump wich skims like a beast!!

2 x sun sun streamers with diy brackets. i made a cabinet for this tank like 2 weeks ago .
this tank was a reef setup and is a great compact system wich consists of 250 +- litres.the sump has a dsb compartment .it is now fish only

take the full system with fish for R3500

LIVESTOCK

SCOPA TANG , CLEANER SHRIMP, NIGGER TRIGGER , humbug damsel, salarius goby , tomato clown , sailfin tang and koran angel

only reason im selling is because im moving out and space is always an issue

(some extras like test kits , charcoal, kh and some calcium. fish foods etc. also 25l water drums x2.. all rock is local rock and about 3 kg's live rock . about 40kg's play sand

morning everyone,

does anyone in the pta/centurion area have a quarentien tank maybe ?

my powder blue has tripple white spot this morning ...

I dont have a spare tank :(

Hi, can someone please tell me what type of pipe and fittings I will need to use for the plumbing. Going to look tommorow but not sure what type I need. Will normal waste pipes be ok or is there a specific type that needs to be used?

How the Efffffffen Effffffenn #$#%$#$%^ do the Rest of the world get it right to upload videos???????????

The whole time since I had the Nokia N96, I battled to upload videos to either Youtube or Photobucket. In the last year I tried zillions of times and maybe got it right once.

Now with the N8 I thought it will be easier, but I still f@%#%#ng battle. It will start to upload, show the progress up to about 40%, and then just "hang".... This is on Photobucket.

On Youtube, it will start, take like an hour for a 5mb video, and then says : "sorry, an error occurred and I can send an error report and try again.

This happened since the beginning of last year.

I dunno if it is my Pc, the video need to be converted, or something I dunno about.

Please help, as I am getting f@#$%ng frustrated to waste valuable hours waiting for something to turn into wasted time.

What will this be, bleaned my tank today and turned the sand around to clean it and after dust settle this guy is sitting in front, is it a type of sand worm or anemone thing?

Hi,
we finally starting the marine tank now I'll post pics later :) .

Can I put all the liverock in at once or should it be put in in stages?
And we should have the tank filled up with R/O water by tonight and the salt in and everything, so will it be fine to put the liverock in on the weekend?

What is pink stuff on liverock from Sri Lanka? is it good or common and how much should it cost?

How to use burnt Compact Florescent Light Circuit Module

Wouldn't it be possible to use the ballast in a high power CFL (I've seen ones up to 44watt for like R50 at spar) to power T5s?

Hey guys,
So I deciced to play around with the equiptment I had lying around,

This Is what I used

1.5L woolies bottled water bottle
2L cool drink bottle
Aleas Filter

This is what I was busy this morning:

2L bottle cut in half with he fillter power head fitted in it.

1.5L bottle with the bottom cut off

A hole was made in the centre on the cut off bottom (collection cup) and used silicon to stick them together and prevent water (skimate) falling out the collection cup

Hi guys,

My LFS has a Midas Blenny for sale. How would he be in a STD 4ft tank where i already have a purple firefish? There are lots of hiding places but i really don't want to upset the peace.
They also have a very cool orange sponge......what is the survival rate on these / how well do they do in aquaria and how tempremental are they?

MAD skimmer idea

So i was a bit bored the other day and started thinking about a skimmer

how about this as an idea... using a SeioM1500 or M2600 would pump something in the region of 10 000Lph, they have venturi (SP) fittings .... and they run off next to nothing in terms of power......

so here is an idea for a seio skimmer.... it would be fed directly from the overflow OR would require a feeder pump

Who has an opinion on whether this would lork or not?
