East London guys I have a few pieces of kenyan liverock sitting in my sump at the moment that I recently took out of my tank due to a reshuffle of corals and rocks....There is also one piece of Biorock that is a good few years old so is also live at this point. 2 of the rocks have a bit of coral growth on them...some blue and red shrooms etc

What is the difference between a puffer and a toby and a boxfish/cowfish?
Are they the same family or not? Are they all odd shaped or not?

Could you please help me out, i've ordered 3 tangs:

Red Sea Sailfin
Powder Blue
As i know the rule is that you should introduce tangs fish at the same time to avoid fighting. My question is would it be possible to introduce these fish all at once, would it not cause to much of a load at once ?? -

hi all,
i have to thank everyone for a fantastic forum with bucket loads of information, i have spent the past few weeks sifting through it all and have made up my mind and changed it too many times to count with regards equipment, animals, etc.
i am upgrading my fowlr to a reef tank, its a 3ft, put in a overflow and connecting up a 2ft sump with dsb. my querry comes in with lighting, too much contradicting info so i thought i would ask opinions. i have bought a 39w dual t5 ballast with 1xactinic and 1x 10 000k. will this be sufficient for zooanthids, soft corals, mushrooms, anemones, etc. i plan on sticking to the softies before venturing into sps corals.
like i said 3ft, approx. 80-90l, sump 40l. still waiting on skimmer.

Best Filter Media

Please advise on the best Filter Media. I have Eco Balls in the overflow sump of the DT. In the middle compartment of the Sump I have Ceramic tubes covered in Filter foam. My Nitrate is high.
Is there a better media than ceramic tubes?
Should I be cleaning the eco balls or the ceramic tubes, if so, how?
Should I add stuff to the first & third chambers of the Sump as well?
