Blue waving hand (Anthelia sp.) ?

Hi

Got blue Anthelia (I hope), can anyone confirm or suggest the correct ID? Also, is there any way/use to have the specific specie identified?

Got them as I believe that they are less toxic and more controllable than Xenia (aka E.H Borneman), but have found some online comments to the contrary now. Any views?

The blue is very much in the eye of the beholder as it shifts form pinkish hue to a blueish hue, although the columns is blue-purple.

Hi guys I wanted to findout hou menny fish I can put inmy tank.
Tank specs: 900X300X450 DT
Sump: 900X300X450 With a TS 1 Skimmer, a Algae skruber, Liverock with a good amount of Cluster Dusters on, a 300W heater, DSB, Phosphate reactor, 2000l/h return pump.

Life stock: 3 Chromas
3 Anthias
1 Diamond goby
1 Scooter blenny
1 Boxer shrimp
1 Fire shrimp

I would like to ad 2 more Scunk Clowns.

What is your opinions?

Hi y'all, just squirted a small amount of aptasia X on my clams mantle, tried to get d aptasia next to, that piece of mantle contracted and clam is closed, did i just made a booboo or is Ap-X really THAT reef safe, what should i do

I am not sure of what questions are acceptible in terms of vendors. I have read your member introduction but would a question like "which are the best vendors in the CT southern suburbs ?" be appropriate?

I have dealt with a few vendors but would be reluctant to post anything untoward as 1) they might recognise me and that would make life difficult in future dealings; and
2) I'm not sure if that is permitted under your regulations.

Anyway, enough of the legalese. Here's a question for you.

Is anyone aware of problems in having false and true Percula Clowns together. When I initially set up the tank, amongst others I had one false and one true Percula. They got on fine together but when some months later I added 2 more True Clowns I found that I had started "gang warfare". The original True "bonded" with the 2 new Trues and ostracised the poor false. This to the extent that if he sticks his head out from under his refuge he gets chased and gets his fins nipped. The Damsels and Tang have also started to get in on the act. The only creature he seems comfortable with is the Cowrie but I am sure he's going to join in real soon!!;)

I have to feed the fish very slowly so as to give the false a chance to get some tucker whilst the others are busy pigging out.

I am seriously thinking of getting a small, self contained aquarium for him and a few friendly falsies.

Question 2. How do you sex fish?

Hi All

As some will now from the thread Snow in Harrismith - Page 2 - Marine Aquariums of South Africa that there was a ship that drifted ashore during a storm last week.

Well my brother-in-Law has just flown past at low level and he has confirmed the ship is now spilling crude oil quite badly.......This is not good!

I really hope that the the spillage can be contained to minimize the impact, but he has already confirmed that some Dolphins and Turtles in the area appear to be effected.

how to dose?

So after reading all the threads on Prodibia I am doing some research. The product looks good but no matter where I look even on www.prodibia.fr I can't find the dosing frequency. I know I need 12 vials but is that all at once, once a week etc?

Can anyone point me in the right direction please on the dosing frequency?
