Purple cap

Hi

Does somebody have a frag of a purple cap Monti. Or do you know of a reefer who might not be on the forum who has a frag.

This the Phoenix that is stranded at Sheffield beach. I heard an attempt to get it off the beach will be made on the 30th of August and I am not so sure if it can be done. The ships bow is about 1,5 metres off the ground so it must be lying quite solidly where it is resting on the ocean bed. My question is what effect is it going to have on the beach apart from being ugly, surely the currents will be changed and this could well end up with a beach with very little rock and and none of the beautiful specimens found here left.

The crowds visiting the beach is already littering and I have seen so many people trying to catch any fish or hermit they see-to do what with?

A friend of mine collected this thing and has it in his tank. It has legs and walks around-I wonder if it can be trusted cos it looks weird to me.

Can anyone ID:

Rock type: Tonga
Rock cycled: yes three months

When I got the rock I notice this (small amount) it was white and looked like it was dead. Now all of a sudden its tripled in size and got a color to it (even though its brown)

Anyone know what this is:

So since I added the Chromis and the tank has been going really well, 194l and I feed the Chromis (hermits) and two clowns twice a day (sea food mix blocks) they eat 90% of it and the hermits demolish the other 10%. I have started to notice though algae and am wondering if this is the start of an uncontrollable bloom. not sure if its normal or not....

I would like to stop it in its tracks and looking for advice:

Tank finished cycling got some Chormies and then some Zoas they only close at night all lights off and look the best when I have the blue LED moon lights :)

I have some Eagle Eye Zoas but just fed the tank and they seemed to have caught some food ;)

One question I do have is when I have the lights off and just the blue moon lights on I see the Zoas either releasing something (looks like a long hair) into the water or they have some sort of long tenticle.... anyone know what it is?

And then some cool grass carpet looking thing :)

yes I know I said a while back that my rebuild is finish but things came up and did not finish it but now it is.I just want to know Im going to leak test it for how long should I do it and should i keep it filled with water for a while to see if its going to hold

Hey guys. Fishstreet has these 15k 150w mh globes. They say its purple blue. Has anyone seen these or have them? What do you guys think of it? Here is the page

How are the quality of the globes. Want blv 20k's but this seems cool and will work out cheaper, but are they worth it?

LED dimmer question/problem

I bought some LED strips on Ebay and they arrived the other day, I wanted to use them as moonlights. The problem is they are a bit bright. So i bought a dimmer and connected it but the lights do come on at all now. Im no electrical ghuru and advice would be appreciated.
