Ok, a small confession been hiding a little secret at the office

As you know in January I was given a 100L Nano for my office as a long service award. So set the tank up, moved in live stock & was only too happy to show everyone at work the world of a reef tank.

Our MD, FD & Production Director quite liked the tank & after a few months of my Nano running we took a board decision to set up a little reef tank in the board room that everyone could enjoy.

So we made a little hole in the wall

And our journey at the office began
- Tank Built & installed by Idol Marine
- Tank maintained & aquascaped by Nemos Janitors
- 2,000mm x 1,000mm x 700mm
- Matrix Light Fitting 12 x T5 Giesman bulbs
- ReefOctopus Skimmer, NP Pellect & Carbon Reactor
- Kalk Stirrer & Phosphate Reactor

Advise on fox coral (Nemenzophyllia turbida)

I bought a beautiful pale yellow/white fox coral (Nemenzophyllia turbida) a month ago.

Most sources say that it should be kept at low to moderate lights or even indirect light and that it turns brown under strong, direct light.

Not wanting it to turn brown and hoping to keep the pale yellow colour, I placed it in a are of moderate, directional changing flow with about 2/3 of it being shaded by the LR and 1/3 getting direct light.

It is doing vey well, expanding nicely during the day and has kept its colour. When I look at it however it is clear that the bit in the "sun" is expanding more and open up, while the bit in the shade still expands, but keeps its "lobes" closed.

Will it be OK like this, or will the shaded bit "go hungry"?

PS. Photos not the best, extremely difficult to get the white balance right with its colour.

Im selling my 1500w pure sinewave inverter I used for my power backup system.

This thing was running my tank and my moms whole office with no prob. The battery is frot now though. Includes inverter and battery box.

I have a brand new 45AH sealed lead acid battery if wanted for small fee=). it should backup a normal system for an hour or so. I recommend a 102AH deep cycle though.

HI Guys

So I want to LED my Jebo R388. I want to build it to give off enough light for even the most light hungry SPS. Not that I will ever put SPS in it. Its just a test for a larger project. Just would like to know what color temp should I be aiming for ? 10-12k or 12-15k or 17-20k

Going with Cree with 60deg optics and dimmable with a controller

I am planning on getting a NP Pellet reactor this weekend.
i was told that i can use a reef octous beginner as a rector, is this true as it is like half the price of the np reactor.

PLEASE ADVISE.
