ok i dint know if this has been covered but,can different clowns get along in one tank.say maybe a ocellaris clown and a maroon clown.......

ALK drop after water change

Hi Guys
I wonder if someone have the same problem I change salt brand and everything droped MAG, ALK, and CAL so now i dose my but off to get everything stable again
Water Par now
ph - 8.3
kh - 7.3 after dosing ALK 8.3 raised from 6.2
MAG - 1200 battle to get that up
Cal - 400
I don't know if I can name the brand
And yes I know you need to check fresh salt water mix
So question wat do i dose first MAG to get it to the right level. Because i can't get it above 1200 at the moment.
Or something else.

Hi Reefers,
We thought you might be interested in one of our recent installations.
We commisioned the tank for Mark McJannet in January 2011,since then
it has blossomed into a spectacular and succesful SPS dominated reef.
The tank is maintained by the owner who has become a fine reefer in a very short span of time, largely under the guidance of Adriaan who is very good at taking the Newbi out of our customers.:P
Here are some pics, which we will add to.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may need answering.:)
The tank is still new and effort was taken to ensure that there is sufficient space between corals to allow the colonies to fully express themselves in time. -

Photo Exhibition: 'Oceans of Life'
The good news is that my photo of my Green Bubble Coral made the final selection from a national photographic competition held recently and is on display at the Iziko Museum Exhibition in Cape Town.
As part of National Marine Week, BirdLife South Africa has put together an exhibition of 50 oceanic wildlife themed photographs at the Iziko SA Museum. Presented as backlit Duratrans prints, the photographs pop from the wall with vivid colours, something that has to be seen in person!
Oceans of Life is running from 10 October till 20 November 2011 at the Iziko SA Museum in Cape Town.

FINALLY, I feel some confidence to showcase my tank to the professionals.
Below are a couple of pics to date !!!!
I HAVE A BIG 40x40x40 refuge at the bottom with ATS which I think really is helping.
I only dose, ALK, CA and Mg + Amino Acids that's it !
lighting 6 x 39W, 3 x White and 3 X Blue
Conditions finally stable and All LS flourishing, I'm thinking of changing my lights for more growth ???
