... Rocks are LOADED with pulsing xenias and various zoas.

Only problem is that these rocks need to be gone ASAP cos they taking up space.
If somebody is taking the whole lot then id make it R60 a kilo . . . id rather sell it all at one go.

Hi there guys,

Just got new 60 liter tank with nothing but air in at the moment but hoping to change that very soon.

Since I'm TOTALLY new to marine aquariums or any aquariums for that matter, i'm in the dark about following right procedures to get started effectivelly.

My aim is a theme based aquarium with 2 clownfish.

If possible, can anyone please profide a link or something to a "marine aquarium for dummies" that is a realiable source of information so I can get started.

Hey Guys,

I've got these two 39W T5 Light units with 4 globes each that I am looking at selling. The units are 4 months old and in excellent condition. Retail for the units is R1500 each.

Here's a pic of the lights on my tank. Growing sps really nicely.

First unit R800 with standard globes (Brand new) or R1400 with Giesemann globes (3 months old, 6 hours/day)

Hi, would like to know if there is any one in the Northern Suburbs who can help me with some ''green water'' to start my culture. I have tried it with Phytoplankton from Seachem, but it only makes clumps. Also I would like to know if anybody has some Rotifers going.

Uncured live rock good or bad idea

Hey I am looking in bying some liverock I still need alot of rock, about 100 kg so I am trying out the best and cheapest way to do this

My question is this will it work out cheaper to get uncured lr and cure it or will it cost the same with all water changes nesasarry ect

If uncured is a cheaper way to go where does one get hold of the rock
Clam Advice

Hi all,

Here is my story. I bought this stunning clam from Idol Marine - I had the perfect place to put the clam into my tank...
So I got home, dripped and all the rest, placed the new clam, came back and the clam had rolled off of the rock that I had placed it. This happened a few times and I got worried that the clam might injure it self by falling off the rockwork all the time so I placed the clam on the gravel until I could make a plan.

I sold the one rock that was in the way and I wanted to move the clam to it's final location close to the light and the clam had attached it self - This was within 2 days :eek:. So now the clam is on the floor and I'm worried it's not doing well. The mantel doesn't seem to be as "lifted" as my other two clams, tends to be bent down. The colour still looks good to me but I want to make sure that the clam is healthy. It has been in my tank for around 2 weeks and I'm worried that the clam could be "gaping". I have attached some pics of the clam - and advice would be appreciated.

Hi everyone!

I have that invasive brown anenome..the name of which I have forgotten :)
From what I have read, they can be controlled biologically with peppermint shrimps.

Sooo... I am looking to get hold of 1 peppermint shrimp. I am from Cape Town and will come collect and pay etc. Over the past few weeks the anenome has been spreading quite a bit so sooner the better.

Appreciate the help!

I notice strange finger-like growth from a lumo GSP colony. Is this normal? Is it safe to frag the bits sticking out?

Fake Coral Inserts

Hi, does anyone make, have in stock, or can get fake coral inserts for my fish only tank. Saw them on the tv show Tanked, they look really cool, made out of resin I think. Heres a site that has them in USA. [www.instantreef.com].

i bought a hermit crab and had some problems wit it ...went in store spoke to Chris nd Mark ..they sorted me ......
now i have a white jaw fish ....great service ...recomend you guys to go there ..i know i will go back thanks guys
