Keith, I went searching for the one you gave me, and eventually found it. Thanks again for it.
Due to it raining here (big time) for the last couple of days, I took the book and read (and studied) it from back to front.
Just finisehd with the mouth watering Aquarium layout of David's tank at the back- head still spinning due to trying to follow all the complex'ed pipework.
I also understand the Specific Gravity, Salinity-especially where this comes from, PH,Phospahates, etc way better than what I thought I did.
And I must say that all the specs and Comparisons wrt products is very helpful.
Now....... I am in line for a couple of things- sayeth the financial manager- and am very interested in some of the reactors, evaporator systems, food, pumps etc.
Any website where we can peruse over the prices??? Or maybe a price Brochure??

Here's a cool post on Reef Builders discussing a planted marine tank. Must admit I quite like the look of it!

Forums and Aquariums are both new to me :) There is a lot I need to learn. I have always loved fish and for the first time I am brave enough to start my own tank. I am buying a Red Sea Max 130D with approx. 20kg liferock from a friend. I have to research a lot of the information - I do not understand all the abbreviations etc. but am sure I will learn fast. Hope you guys can help when I get stuck...

Hi All
I am a first time Marine Aquarium enthusiast and four months ago decided ( with the help of Ralph at Hillcrest Pets & Aquarium) to convert a spare Jebo338 into a suitable "training tank" - before diving in head first and wasting money and time.
To date my tank has been very successful and I have 2 clowns, a Valentini Puffer and Skunk Cleaner Shrimp. I put in a Hermit crab and small starfish and they too have done well. I cannot have any corals, anemones etc as dont have a protein skimmer and all the correct lighting.
I am wanting to expand and am keen to go the all-in-one set up such as the Red Sea or Aquaria models, and would appreciate any advice from fellow enthusiasts.
One good lesson I have learned in the past 4 months is "dont fuss" too much over the tank. My salinity levels are always around 1.025/6 and I check the other minerals/ammonia etc... once a month. They results are always within the acceptable range.
