Hi guyz. Anyone got a 4 x 24w unit to sell or maybe know where i could get one?
Anyone experiences with a rockpool tank?

Hi guys, has anyone experiences with a rockpool tank? West coast tank only, as I want to build one. Temperature will be around 16 to 18 degrees.
Forget about the cooling part, that I have figured out already.
Some advice on inhabitants, simple filtration, etc.

Hi all,

If you want to run a remote engine room, but can't gravity feed your sump from the tank. How do you get the water from your DT to your engine room?

hi guys
just a quick question concerning calcium reactors?im going to be decreasing the amount of water in my sump because my sump cant hold the gravity feed and always over flows so that would mean i will have 90litres of water in my sump with about 15kgs of live rock! my tank is just over the thousand litre mark and has around 100kgs of live rock in it(maybe more)! now for my question?

can i run a calcium reactor thats rated at 800litres and tweek it that the drip rate is greater so i will get the required alkalinity levels?

just looking at cheaper options as im a student!

can you guys give me ideas on models and makes to use?

11000 litre Ascol Pump - R1000
Great pump but decided to split the supply of my reactors and chiller and thus got a smaller DC pump that can do battery backup.

DIY Pause relay for return pump - R250
Works perfectly, but with the new return pump connected to my controller its no longer need. 6min pause function.

T8 electronic ballasts x 2 - R50

The tank is still young and cycling hence algae needing to clear.
The system has a remote equipment room 15 metres away from the display tank.

Some More Pics - This was at Atlantis in Dubai, the Palm Jumeira.

I was not that impressed.. its not bad, but the reef tank is not on par to other tanks i have seen..

I visited the Dubai Mall on our trip and the wife took some photos.
I chose a few to share with you, the first few is the Dubai Aquaruim tank - Guiness world record for the largest single acrylic pane.. the last few is on the 3'rd floor, they have a underwater zoo, it's on size with u-shaka.. in the mall.. :eek:
