Hi All

I have a 600(L) x 600(W) x 500(H) cube with slimline overflow for sale.
The tank comes with the following

Tank 600 x 600 x 500 with slimline overflow, AM overflow grid so that fish dont go in there, removable teeth for easy cleaning. I excelent condition tank has been running for around six to seven months
Stand 600 x 600 x 700
Sump 520 x 350 x 400 (three chaimber)
Cabinet push around can be moved to work in sump area removable door and open to canopy all in black
1 x NW-110 Reefoctopus skimmer rated for 400L (3 months old still have box and has remainder of warranty)
1 x return pump (cant remember what pump it is will have to check)
2 x Voyager stream pumps V2 (3000L/H /7W)
1 x Wave Surfer (2 channel voyager controller)
1 x BPR-70 Biopellet reactor with a one way valve plumbed to it.
1 x almost full 250ml packet NP biopellets
1 x Sicci SS1.5 pump plumbed to NP reactor
2 x (2x24W) oddysey light units with giesseman globes (2xActinic+ and 2xAquablue+)
It also comes with caribsea seaflor special grade aragonite substrate.
All plumbing included

Will add more picks as soon as I have emptied the tank and cleaned the equipment

i am planning to start carbon dosing,but i neet some help pls,firstly,what would work best,vinegar,vodka or sugar? Iread that vodka causes cyno in some systems,but it's a great source of carbon. On reefcentral i read that people mix 75% vinegar and 25% vodka. Is there anybody that can help me pls with the start-up of carbon dosing,and the effects of it,as i'm currently running a ats,purigen and phosgaurd. thnx:peroni::thumbup::1:

Hello everyone!
I have a few questions regarding collecting sea invertebrates and other organisms. about 6-8 months ago I bought a saltwater fish tank for my school biology lab. We did much fundraising and finally had the ability to purchase fish and amaze my fellow peers in the high school!
I recently just returned from my holiday break, and my teacher and I are wishing to display marine invertebrates from along the coast of Cape Town to give student the feel for what amazing creatures we have the ability to see. The only problem is how to start this.
I was wondering if I needed a permit to collect the invertebrates, what invertebrates are best to be kept, and how exactly to collect them? I do have a senior project coming up where I will be presenting the idea of global warming and human impact on the oceans. I thought if I could get some marine invertebrate in for this it would be amazing for my creative element!
Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

External Protein Skimmer

I am looking for an external protein skimmer, the display tank is roughly about 200L, no sump, skimmer will standing on the floor, can anyone point me in the right direction of reasonably priced skimmers for my fairly small tank.

OR6500 Impellor explosion

So, last night was a bit busier than normal for me, I had a small problem with my big return pump. It's an Ocean Runner 6500. I got a phone call yesterday afternoon while waiting to pick up my daughter from her afterchool activates, "Dad, something is wrong with the tank", :eek: I honestly think that is the worst phonecall one could ever receive, you just know it can only mean impending doom and lots of clean up work to do. So anyway, apparently all of the water was still in the tanks, so that was a bit of a relief.

Got home and found my return pump was not working. Weird. Tried to spin the impellor, it felt a bit tight and not very smooth so I thought maybe something had got jammed in there. Out came the towels and so started the horrible operation of contorting my body into all manner of weird positions to remove the pump from the sump, these pumps are monstrously huge and frikkin heavy.

And here was the result of my investigation....an exploded impellor!!!

How does that happen? Twice? Yes twice, I have 2 impellors from OR6500 pumps that this has happened to.

Video's can be of anything related to the marine aquarium hobby, they can be of your display tank, your filtration system, fish profiles, coral profiles, lighting explanations, salt mixing instructions, fragging demonstrations, how to setup an RO unit, how to do your plumbing, how to setup a qt tank, how to aquascape etc. etc. the possibilities are endless. Have fun.

My name is Kimmy

I'm from Cincinnati Ohio in the USA. I've have had aquariums since the age of 10 but I have just as of Christmas 32 yrs later I'm just branching out into Saltwater . I got a 75 gallon for Christmas and I'm pretty lost but with lots of research I'm gaining ground.:thumbup: I stumbled across your forum and couldn't help but stop...hope to see y'all around
