  @viper357 I know this is not the right forum for this but just thought that I would get responses much quicker, feel free to move if its not ok.

  Can a frogspawn sting a clam?

  I have just moved all my corals to its mini temp home, it is a real tight fit in there. Everything is kind of on top of each other.
  My frogspawn is opening on top of my clam. I havent seen any reactions from the clam, but can the frogspawn sting the clam?

  Urgent help needed WHat size QT do I need?

  Hi guys and girls
  
  The last few days I've seen my fish die 1 by 1.:( About 2 weeks ago I lost my blond naso, Sunday my bicolor blenny, today my little dwarf lion. This all started about 3 weeks ago when I introduced 6 fish, (5 of that fish came from the same tank) which I believe to have brought a disease into my tank.
  
  I lost those 6 fish a few days later, ever since then my fish had WS or showed symptoms, my naso didnt show any symptoms but was not eating(this fish was greedy as hell, even ate sand and shit it out again) and was just staying in one spot. While I was doing a WC(busy taking out water) the naso died. This was very sad for me as it was one of my fav fish and 1 of the reasons I started marines. The weekend past I noticed the same thing with my bicolor blenny and Sunday I came home and found it dead.
  Today another sad day, I came home and found my little lion dead and all that was left was its carcass. This was the last straw for me and really make me want to just give up. The little lion was the main reason I started marines. But it is pointless for me to give up now as I have just spent more money on a new skimmer.
  
  I was just told that I cant setup another tank in the kitchen which is really the only place where I can.
  I have 11 fish, scopas tang, lamarcks angel, a tiny picasso trigger, a long nose hawk and the rest are fish that stays small.
  What size QT should I get for my fish? And how long should I quarantine for. And with what? I was told that it could be WS, it might be oodium or brook.
  
  Please help, I dont want to loose anymore fish, my fish are all scratching agains the glass, rocks and sand, and my hawk fish already stopped eating since the weekend and I really dont want to loose him too. This morning my midas blenny wasnt looking too lekker either but he seem fine now.

  With out a damn warning, bloody idiots eskom left us with no power tonight.:@ I have no backup power, not evens a battery air pump.:-( im so pissed right now.
  
  I just hope my tank will make it till eskom turns the power back on. dont think I will be able to get some sleep now and college starts tomorrow for me. I wont evens be able to surf masa coz my stupid phone's battery is almost dead.

  Skimmer going crazy

  This morning at 6 my grandfather woke me up, saying that the pump is making a noise and there is water all over the floor. In a panic I jumped out of bed and ran downstairs to the tank, to find the kitchen floor wet.
  My skimmer was going crazy and was overflowing like mad. My skimmer cup's drain pipe runs into a 5l water bottle. So something in the water must of made the skimmer to go crazy and drained about 20l of water and leaving my return pump to almost run dry.
  
  This has happened a few times to me already in the beginning of starting my tank but hasn't happened in the last 5+ months. And I didn't dose anything last night.
  I checked and all my fish and corals are there and still alive.
  
  Has anyone got an explanation for why the skimmer could have just over skimmed and almost drained the sump? Has this happened to anyone else?

  Coincidence or what?

  On Saturday I got 6 new fish(3 goldies, leopard wrasse, small clown tang and a midas blenny) in place of my 4 big fish(regal tang, tennenti tang and 2 huge orange line chromis).... So last night I went and checked on the tank before lights out and noticed my little clown tang had WS(he was eating nicely for the past 2 days) so told myself what the heck I still have some microblift herbtana and might as well use it as an immune booster. As per instructions I added the herbtana and my skimmer started to overflow right away, so switched it off(not a fan of leaving the skimmer off for long periods or any for that matter and planned to turn it back on this morning)...
  
  Well this morning came and my mom checked on my tank and asked me whats wrong with the 1 goldie, its just laying on the sand. So I jumped up from the couch to see whats wrong and the fish is dead, pretty bummed out about it and so was she.:(
  Upon further inspection I see that the little clown tang was also dead :eek: **** that was my moms fish because I made away with her dorry. Now to get them out asap but before I could do that I saw that another goldie was dead.:cursing::censored: Ok so now i'm pissed off and sad that 3 of the fish are dead and I cant find the other goldie, the midas blenny or the leopard wrasse(despite that he was harassed like hell by the 6 line and buried himself in the sand.)
  
  **** i dont want to see my moms face or hear what she has to say when she gets home.
  
  Is this a coincidence or what?
  
  Maybe I just got a bad batch of herbtana but it isn't working for me, the first time I used it it just made matters worse and now when I decide to give it a shot again I find my new fish dead.:(
  
  I dont know what my parameters are, the only test kits I have are ammonia, PH and KH. Checked those on Friday or Saturday last.
  Ammonia was undetectable.
  PH was 8.0
  KH was 8
  Dont have NO3, when I wanted to buy one the LFS didnt have.

  Urgent help needed Bubble coral bleached and not opening fully.

  I have my bubble for a few months now and has been opening full ever since but since about two weeks ago it has bleached and is not opening fully. First half of the coral bleached and recently the other half as well. I did accidentally suck up and pop a bubble about 3 weeks back when siphoning out cyano.:blush: Could it be this that caused it to bleach and not open properly.
  
  Sorry dont have parameters to give, will only be able to have it tested tomorrow.

  Whats best to use in a canister fiter?

  I just cleaned my canister filter that I used on my FW tank and want to hook it up to my tank(SW). What would be best to use in it?
  
  At the moment was thinking of putting in carbon and some filter floss and the filter pad that came with it? What else should I put it?

  Chemi Clean? Has anyone used it with success

  Has anyone used chemi Clean red slime remover with success?
  
  Cyano is busy taking over my tank. And I was going to use chemi Clean but heard that its playing with fire. A google search says that guys had success with it but I heard otherwise. So dont want to take the chance.
  
  Anyone with experience with this stuff? Should I use it or shouldn't I?
  
  Also is cyano really a lack of flow? I ask because I have it growing on my 6000l sun sun's, surely it cant be a flow problem if its on the pumps? Or can it be of over feeding?

  Prodibio reef booster and finicky fish

  Has anyone tried or used reef booster mixed with food to get those finicky eaters to eat?
  
  On the pdf file on their website, it says one can throw a few drops on some food to help get fish to eat.
  
  Also when dosing reef booster is it better to turn the skimmer off?

  Apparently there was a 88000l tank or more a pool than a tank featured on the show, where one can literally swim with the fish.:eek: Do anyone know who's tank it is?

  Goniopora swollen

  I've just seen my goni all swollen, apparently this is the second time this has happened and what I could find on the net is that it is feeding. I know it is a hard coral to care for so please dont jump down my throat but it has been doing well(new polyps growing) since I got it, about two months back.(just hope I didnt jinx it, as when ever some one asks about my tank or something, something always go wrong:P)
  
  Could it be feeding? The thing is I have not fed it recently. And the first time it happened I was told my arrow crab was riding it.:whistling:
  
  The swollenness is receding and the polyps are more out now, but was bigger than in the pic before I saw it.
