Hi Guys, I have a question in regards to live rock, I have noticed on many threads, that when one adds live to a new system, you always add the live rock first, That is before adding the substrate, why is this dont in this way?
Why cant you add the live rock on top of the substrate ?

Tank was from exotic aquariums
Tank size is 1,2 meters x 0,5 wide and 0,5 high
Tank will be sold with lights 2x 54w T5 and a Daz 3x 34w t5, With sump and plumbing, Canopy has 2 fans as well.
No equipment.

This Morning, was a sad day,, at about 4:00 am this morning my Dads 2 meter Tank burst, water all over, likely he woke up and saved some fish ,His koran angel died ,, was massive adult colors ,, All the other fish I have put them in my tank,,They all look good but my tank is to small for them,, especially the sailfin tang and the rabbit fish about 20 cm or bigger in size ,,,and lot of live rock in a bucket ,,

The sail-fin and Rabbit he had for 2 years..

I will put them up for sale tomorrow on the for sale thread once I have pics
live rock @70 a KG

I need some help in regards to stocking my tank it is a 4ft tank,,

I already have the following in the tank
1x skunk clown
1x Coral Beauty
1x Naso lipstick Tang
1x sea urchin
1x Lunar wrasse
1x Fire Goby
2x Tomato clowns
1x star fish
and a few hermits

I need to know if I can the following fish to my current system and if there are reef safe

Hi. Gents by mistake I dropped a 50 cent coin in my tank. Problem is that I can't find it can this do any harm to the tank ans corals

Hi lady's and Gents,,

I am selling my Boyu TL 550 Tank,,I am currently finding it difficult to look after my Boyu and my 4 ft tank

It has everything
UV light
Heater not original, I changed the heater about 2 weeks ago,,
Return Pump been changed as well for a bigger one
the original boyu pump is being used inside the tank with a wave maker add on for more flow.
There is also another resun pump in the tank for flow.
I have a small pump in the 2nd chamber as well ( not sure why I put it there lol)
original skimmer
Live Rock included
Live Rock with some coral Included
Tank has been Running for about 2 months now,,

Good Day lady's and Gents..

Guys I need your help,, Over the past week,, My Tank is infested with worms,,,ok Not infested but getting there,,,
1.. I think the one is a bristle worm.. Are they good or bad,,, there is one that is about 5 cm long ..
2.. I am not what is this a worm or type of Star fish,,, It looks like a daddy long legs spider ,, can't really get a good picture as there hide in the rocks,, it's white and black in colour

Please help,, are they good to keep or not

Good Day Gents

My tank is still new only about a month now and is still cycling..Yesterday I noticed that on 3 of Live rocks there is a fungus and the one rock is smelling pretty bad..
How Do I fix this ?

In the Second Pic I have another rock but seem to find out what is growing on it It does not look like aptasia

Good Day Ladies and Gents

I need advise please..

I currently have 300L tank which is still cycling, In the Sump I have the bio balls and ceramic rings which I will remove this weekend, (as advised by fellow reefers on this Form).

My question I have, in my over flow can I add some of the bio balls in there to suppress the noise.
