Hello everyone

I would just like to take a moment and tell everyone of the great service of Frans from DorryPets Cape Town.

Ive never met Frans (just spoken over the phone) and he didnt hesitate to help me on a day that he was not open for bussiness over Easter. The livestock he kept for 3 weeks for me with no hassles and was reluctant to sell a fish to me that he felt was not 100%.

There is so much threads and articles about LFS's lying to people and not really taking the time to help a client (and not there own pocket) with the necessary advice etc...

So im saying to all the newbies who have the chance to deal with this person - you have my vote!!:thumbup:

im selling some of my fish cause im going away for awile and going to start over when i return. (maybe)

i have the following for sale:

3 x yellow tangs (R550 each)
1 x tomato tang (R50)
1x yellow tail damsel (R30)
1 x mated pair of maroon clowns (R300)
1 x sohal tang (R1200)
1 x majestic angelfish (R950)
1 x wimplefish (R200)

how difficult they are to maintain (own experience)

1 x 10cm regal tang , perfect condition and eating anything you put in the tank
mated pair maroon clowns ,male @ 4cm & female @ 7cm
1 x coral catfish about 8 cm

im really looking into getting a achilles tangs. this is such a awesum fish and my favourite tang.

so can anybody give me some personal advice regarding these fish???how many of you have these fish?? i know they are aggro and expensive and finicky...

minimum light for acropora

hey guys

this thread is not intended to keep corals with minimum light.

about a month ago i placed 4 very small acropora frags in a refugium under normal T8 and they are starting to encrust. There are just 4 tubes (2 blue and 2 white).

Now my question is this...what would be the absolute minimum light to keep acroporas alive and well. these frags are alive and encrust very slowly and are obviously not growing fast.

my one angel turned on my navarchus (8cm) and gave him a bad beating. now he is not interested in any food! we you guys recommend that i put him in my refugium?? ,which consists of mud, chaeto, caulerpa.

i would like to get myself a nice group/shoal of anthias (thinking of squampinnis). how many should i get to keep them happy? can they be kept single or 2 or 3?

how many times a day do they need feeding? will i have to use a food timer?
