Tank has been running for almost a year now, havent lost anything so i must be doing good then. Had to boot my Bicolor Angel as he was nipping my coral and hermits.
Here is the specs of my tank.
Tank
Length : 610mm
Width: 500mm
hight 600mm
Sump
Length : 500mm
Width : 350mm
Hight: 400mm
Equipment
Ts1 skimmer... works like a dream
200 watt heater
return pump( cant remember the flow )
4 t5 light , 2 blue 2 white 24 watts
Fish
2 x comman clowns
6 line wrasse
4 metalic damsels
3 hermit crabs
1 goby... not sure of the name ... brown with white dots.
slug and some snales

Hi Guys , saw this thing for the first time in my tank last night ?
Any one have an idea what it is, looks like a slug, is it reef friendly ?

TWO Oceans Aquarium - Clown display tank

Hi Guys , i went to go and collect some water this weekend at the Aquarium, went inside quick to use the toilet and walked past the Clown display tank , Lovely tank but 3 quaters of the fish were half dead , with a few dead ones to , my personal opinion is that the tank is hopelessly over stocked.
Has anyone else noticed it ?

24 watt duel ballast

Hi Guys ,
I bought 2 duel T5 24 watt ballast for my tank , can any one show me how the wiring must be done (its a DIY kit)
I got the ballast and the tube plugs and loose wires ..... and i havnt a clue how the wiring works

I have a 220l tank and sump set up(Cube , ive been to told to get a TS1 skimmer , would it be probolmatic if i got a TS2 ? -

Hi Guys
I see a person gets various kinds of Aragonite substrate, some white , some black , some mixed , besides the grain size , are there any added advatages using a specific colour
I like the hawain black aragonite, will this affect my tank setup or fish selction

Hi guys
how deep must the coral sand be in the sump ?
Would 10cm be deep enough or to deep ?
Was thinking of having the skimmer in first compartment with overflow inlet, 2. then live rock , 3. then sand bed , 4. then live rock , 5. then pumps
Would that be good enough?

Hi Guys , looking for some advise on lighting
What lighting package is good for a Marine Tank of this size
Tank size is 600L x 500W x 600H
Baring in mind i want to keep some soft corals + fish, shrimps + hermits extra -

Not sure weather i want a reef tank , or just a fish only tank( with live rock )

Hi Guys
Ive got a little TL450 with about 7 Kgs of live rock , some snails(came with the live rock ) one blue and yellow damsel and 4 mollies that i used orignally to get the tank up and running.
Ive quickly grown out of it, as its a little to small(cant keep anything in it). Thus i strated a new set up .

I dont have the space to go bigger
I am still decieding on what to keep, reef with soft corals or maybe just fish (preditor tank).....
