Controlling salinity

so for my tank it is very difficult controlling salinity. I use a auto top-up but this is not accurate for the following reason/s.
1. i use a pipe as my overflow that is dialed back, this can make my sump fluctuate as the water in the pipe goes higher or lower.
This causes my ATU to go on even when its not necessarily needed.
I have googled a bit and you do get quite a bit of conductivity controllers(industrial) that could work.
Any idees guys?

i have been looking at international forums and have this idee about a long tank with eel grass in and a pipe fish or two, as my next project,
what algae do we get that at least looks nice, i know we have caulapra, chaeto, etc but what else?

anybody have on lying around in cape town. i am a week or so away from adding liverock(hopefully uncured) into my tank and dont want to buy a light unit just for that,
i am building an Led Light unit but this will only be done in 3 or so months time. -

so im building a led light unit and its got two 0 - 10 volt controll jacks. That i need to controll. I would love to go profilux, but at this time it seems rather expensive depending on what ill need for it exactly. my no.1 priority is the controll of the leds, everything else is a bonus.
so any ideas guys? -

Hey Guys
can anybody tell me who builds tanks around the cape town area that are trustworthy and do their job good. Also that dont cost tonns of money.
The tank is 700 x 600 x 500 and needs to be taken apart and then re siliconed neatly. and new bottom braces installed. -

What camera should i buy

Hi guys
At the moment i have a Pentax istd camera and so far it has been fantastic for learning digital photography, and also getting to know what i like and what i dont.
the problem is that being one of the very first DSLR cameras of Pentax(only 6 MP) the settings and features are very outdated.
For example taking pictures at night i can only keep my lens open for 30 seconds(which to me is way too little)
I am aiming at upgrading and so far i really am in love with Canon camera's since i have worked with them before and know them well enough.
So anyway now that you guys have an overview of what i want i am looking for suggestions on what camera i should be getting.
Please help me choose my next camera............:biggrin: -
