At the momont im running 4x54w T5 1200mm on my system, 1.4x0.45x0.5(lwd). I only keep soft corrals and one lps. Can one keep anemones and clams under this lighting? Any advice would be appreciated.
I am considering to move from dsb to np pellets, can somebody with experience please assist to what monthly cost would approximately be? My DT is 290l and sump is about 65l, my system is medium stocked with fish and i have some softies and lps. At the moment my filtration is reef octopus xp1000 cone skimmer, dsb is 470mm by 310mm and 110mm deep and caulerpa on dsb.
Ive got an hair algae problem in my tank at the moment, well, its more or less under control but i want to introduce macro algae in my sump to help with this. Ive got some caulerpa today, is it recomended, i know that you must have light on it 24/7. Is it true that it can release toxins in the water that can be harmfull to corrals and is there anybody that have experianced this before?
Ive got a 300 litre display tank and a 100 litre sump which is housing my ro bubble blaster skimmer xp1000 (exellent skimmer!) and a dsb and the 3rd compartment my return pump. Would it be more effective removing the dsb and replacing it with a ro skimmer? At the moment the dsb does not appear to do much.
Ive got the reef octopus bubble blaster xp1000 last week but just cant get it to skim correctly, when i have the water level at 13cm in the sump, waht they sugest, when the valve at the outlet is at almost close the water will just reach the bottom of the collection cup, when i open it more the level will drop back to the reaction chamber! Ive raised the water level but it is skimming very wet and overflow the whole time, is there any one who can give some advice on this skimmer? Ive run the skimmer for a week now.
After looking at all options of skimmers and reading through lots of posts i have finally made up my mind to go for the reef octopus xp1000 bubble blaster skimmer  just waiting for it in the post, cant wait to install it! I believe it is a great skimmer
At the moment ive got the boyu dg2516 skimmer and want to upgrade, have looked at different models and decided to go for the Red Sea Berlin XL skimmer, is their anyone who have experiance using this skimmer?
Hi everyone, started with marines 8 months ago, discovered marineaquariumsa and can really learn from other marine aquarists. Ive got a 300l display tank with a 100l sump. My filtration method is a protein skimmer and deep sand bed in the sump and some live rock in the display tank. I started with some local cold water fish but changed to a warm water tropical setup a month ago.
