  PVC Check valve

  Is ok to put a pvc check valve to a return pump? just to avoid water back-flow? any pros & cons? I already drilled hole on my return pipe but this doesn't work very well, there is so much water flowing back to the sump as well as it produce bubbles. The hole is a bit lower of an MM from my water level.

  Urgent help needed Glass tank leaking

  SOS... i need your help guys... my new 120g glass tank leaking at the bottom pane. I did a test leak before and everythings ok but after i transferred my whole set up after 3 hours i notice a leak it coming from a bottom & front glass silicon. 1 drop every 2 to 3 seconds. I tried to put silicon and press it for a seconds but water keeps pushing the silicon. What can i use? please help.:(

  Calcium over alkalinty

  Question about my alkalinity.
  I regularly test my water once a month. I've noticed that i maintained my calcium level at a good level of 420-440 ppm but my alkalinity level stayed at 6kdh. I supplement calcium and alkalinity 1ml daily. Does this mean that i should add more on alkalinity? or this is the cause of a trace of Nit and phos in my tank?. (an endless battling with Nit&Phos)wheeew..

  Need help to relocate tank

  Good day MASA reefers,
  
  
  Been sometime since i last posted my plan for a new 120g rimless tank here. I need a help from you guys. I’ve a 3yrs old 75gals existing setup with 50gals sump underneath. We are planning to renovate the house and the tank should be relocated somewhere also in the living room. Initial preparations have been setup. I acquired new 120gal rimless tank and constructed the fix cabinet stand, buckets are all ready, towels, and another 100gals of NSW. All is setup for relocation except with my senses.:( I really don’t know where to start and what to move first. The sump has matured 8”x12”x16 DSB to consider, I’m not pretty much sure if i can move this sump without breaking the glass because the sand is too heavy.
  I hope you guys can guide me step by step so i could relocate everything smoothly and safely.

  Hammers dying

  While other corals are doing good, all my 4 hammer is dying in a week..What is happening to my tank?
  Here's my water param.
  Nitrate- 0ppm
  Phosphate- 3-5 ppm
  Calcium- 420ppm
  KH- 6kdh
  Ph- 8.2
  SG- 1.025
  Temp- 29(ooow it's hot)..:(

  Needed expert here

  I gez i needed some expert to help me make my water param stable.
  I am posting my Water test data for 3 consec months using API reef master test kit and it shows that my water param really unstable.:whistling:
  Inputs:
  3yrs old Tank from FOWLR converted to Reef 1 yr ago
  100g including sump water.
  50g sump with, JEBO520 skimmer, DSB, Phospad, Cheato and refugium
  Additives Calcium plus and reef buffer only
  
  Tests done 30 mins after every water change
  
  
  
  i can't make my Phosphate down.
  Nitrate controlled by my cheato
  Calcium raised up by calcium plus but suprised by my KH going down
  Anything i could do in terms of additives?

  I'm going 120g from my standard 75g DT. i'm a bit concern with my overflow plumbing design, i need advise from our DIY gurus here.
  
  Tank size : 48"x30"x24" 10mm thk GLASS drilled with 2-50mm dia overflow hole at the back (Rimless if possible with 10mm thk.)

  Let’s share the world in praying the Philippines, specially for our Filipino friends who suffered massive devastation this last weekend. Hundreds are died due to enormous flooding by typhoon ondoy (International name KETSANA).
  My sincere condolences to all the filipino families who lost their love ones.

  Skin peeling

  I have a few question. Two of my fish died recently, a Clarkii clownfish and Black spot Tang.(Clown about a month old in my tank and the tang just recently acquired) Both died with the same manifestation, "SKIN PEELING".
  Q: is this a cause of a poor water quality or is this some common fish disease?

  Evaporated water

  Hello guys,
  What's the normal volume of water to be evaporated in a day for a 120gals total volume of water including the sump water.
  i do top-up of 1 liter a day, is this normal?:( for a 25-30 deg weather temp.

  I need help guys.. My live rock end-up deadrock:( in my FOWLR tank what to do to revive em'? there's nothing in it but a red algae...though i can now control the red algae with my newly set-up 50gals sump. Is there's i can do to bring back the living organism in my live rock?

  I ordered a glass tank measuring 4ft x 2ft x 2ft. .100 gallons if my computation is correct. i planned to set this up as a semi-reef tank.My question is : Where to drill hole? Back panel or bottom glass? Anyone using Durso Standpipe? Pls Help me..
