Urgent help needed Help needed ! after my tanks move

Hi
I recently moved to house, and i need some of your expertise on my Setup. My LS is currently in my Quarintine Tank for the past week,
I transported half of my water with the move, and chucked the rest
My livestock has been in my hospital tank for the past week with the existing water, and isn't doing good. My brain coral has not opened, my clam has been in a Gaping stance for the past 2 days, and my mushrooms have not opened, I've found 3 dead snail in the water which i have removed and did about a 30 percent water change over the weekend.
Over the weekend I found that My heater has been unplugged !, and found the water cold. I'm guessing this was over a period of one day, My six line wrasse did not make it.
The main tank has been running in over the past 2 days now only, with new water The existing water kept smelt funky so I dumped it.
Me not having transport and help delayed my tanks move.
I would deeply appreciate if one of the experienced guys could pop by soon, to assist.
I'm in Kuilsriver. -
Help with my Clam!

hi guys,
i've moved house , and been keeping my LS in my quarantine tank for about a week now with no lights.
Over the weekend I found the heater unplugged and my wrassie never made it :(
I noticed that my clam has been open for most of the day. I've connected the lights this evening hoping that it mite extend itself, and nothing yet

I'll be visiting plastics for africa to look for a nice sized container to fit the back of my tank.

Vortech Pumps - 2 x MP10 or 1 MP40

Hi Guys,
I've been considering the vortech pumps, would it be possible to 2 Mp10 with 1 controller ?
I would think that this would help with water flow in a 1.2m setup. Surely this would be better then having 1 MP40 which is rated better for my kind of setup.
From what I could see from readup's you have to purchase these pumps with a controller. -

Hi Guys,
I need some advise on my lighting, i currently have a 3x 54w T5 Unit. My water depth is sitting at 600mm, I have a wooden hood which is resting on the rim of my glass. the Total Height of the glass is at 700mm. the Tank is 1200mm in width and 450mm in depth
What would be the best thing to do in my case ? Sell off my Unit ? or just supplement it with MH ? or go all t5
I would like to keep some sps eventually at mid to high of the tank
I would also like to use minimal energy consumption for the Most Effective Look ie bright colours and great coral growth
Your input will be appreciated!!

Urgent help needed Lipstick Tang Swimming in circles

Hi Guys,
Days after purchasing my lipstick it had been in quarantine, I've introduced it yesterday and it was swimming and eating fine. This evening i noticed that it was laying on its side ans funny enough the yellow tang was trying to help it stay up by pushing it up when it tries to lay down, my PH levels where a bit high, i've managed to bring it down by switching off the light in the DT. What could this be ? -

I've noticed that the guys in the states sells off reef cleaner packages, eg liveaquaria.com
To Purchase something similar at our LFS' would cost a arm and a leg to get something similar. ie one blue legged hermit would average on R40.
Is there a place in the cape where one could collect similar reef safe invertes for use in our tanks. or buy in bulk at a reasonable price ? -

As i know the rule is that you should introduce tangs fish at the same time to avoid fighting. My question is would it be possible to introduce these fish all at once, would it not cause to much of a load at once ?? -

I recently took ownership of this tank :) I got it for a good deal.
I would like to transfer my live stock from my TL550 and add the live rock i've recently purchased in it. (15kg of kenyan and Fiji )
Current Hardware:
Reeftek Protein Skimmer : (not to sure on the make, maybe you can ID this for me)
Return Pump
T5 Ballast/Holder (No Bulbs) holds 4 x tubes
Electronic PH Sensor
Electronic Wave Maker Controller + Waver Maker
Electronic Temp Sensor
CO2 Tank
What is the max Wattage I can go for with a 38W Ballast ?
I like the Idea of the DSB but as you can see in my pics the sump is a bit small to accommodate it

Live Rock Treatment

Hi Guys,
I bought around 30Kg's of FijLR from Burt lastnight.
I need some good advice on cleaning/prepping it for my tank. Currently its in a large plastic container filled with saltwater and covered with a powerhead running in it.
I plan to do a full water change in it this weekend and clean each rock with a semi soft bristle brush. Is there any chemical product I can add to the water to speed-up the curing process. -

Hi Posting on behalf of a friend..
A friend of mine bought a 2nd hand boyu TL550. The tank has been running for 8 months.
His concern is that there are couple of tiny bristle stars floating around.
Is this anything to worry about ?
