  Power Outage R\East Lansdowne

  Hi all
  Anyone in theses areas also affected by the power outage caused by HT cable failure.
  
  Been out since 6 am
  
  Getting some battery powered air-pumps and a UPS now to heat and provide some water movement.

  Please advise what the best method is to cut perspex DIY (jigsaw ,hacksaw, dremel tool ,etc) or will it be better to have it cut by the pros???

  Hi all
  
  Today noticed the tang has a bloated abdomen only on its right side.Its still feeding as per normal. does not seem to have any other symptoms what do I do?

  I came home to find my hermit sitting on the rock and it claws and legs lying below.:(

  Display Tank - Power Lab L850 X W850 X H600 incorporating "invisible bracing" , acrylic back panel, micro overflow stand H1000
  (gonna DIY the "stand cabinet" so watch this space)
  
  Sump - Power Lab (Glass) with custom Auto top up chamber and refugium (to be completed this week)
  
  Display Tank Lighting Unit - currently 4x 39w t5 unit to be replaced
  Custom built unit which I want to try and DIY planning 6 / 8 x 24 w T5 (individual reflectors) with cooling fans and moonlights
  
  Skimmer - Power Lab H1

  Test Equipment

  Hi All
  
  I am a newbie and would like to know what is the recomended test kits and equipment are for stating and running a FOWLR
  
  The test kits should be of reasonable cost though as we are all not as fortunate ;)
  
  Maybe categorized by Value/accuracy out of 10 personal experience would be helpfull as wel.
  
  Currently looking at a PH pen and ammonia test kit

  Seio setup or Polario

  I have been contemplating which setup will be better.
  will a seio controller and two pumps or a polario be sufficient to create enough flow in my cube setup.
  
  the expected volume is 450 lts and I initailly plan to have FOWLR and later (8- 12 months) start with corals.

  Lighting heat issues

  Hi All
  
  Firstly I have done a lot of reading wrt to lighting and the different pros and cons of the different lighting solutions but am a bit unsure of which solution to use on my new build maily due to the temperature aspect of the tank which the light have a great effect on.
  
  What is the approx temp difference between running a MH (150w) with 2x T5 39w VS 6 x 54w T% light units.
  
  I do not plan to have a chiller imediately but will be running six fans (pc style) cooling the sump and two over the DT

  New to the forum and to the marine lifestyle, currently not in possesion of a tank but one of the current sponsers (PhutureLab:thumbup:) are building me a setup.
