  New nennie I think

  Hi
  
  So whe i bought my first piece of LR it came with a hitchhiker nennie, which I named big red. I took down my 1.2m tank about two weeks ago and decided to keep him going in a small daro tank I have. Here are some updated pics. Hes about the size of R5 coin when open
  
  
  
  
  
  And now amazingly I found another one on the same rock. Still small about the size of 1c coin. Has burgundy centre with a green edge. Due to the size and its in the middle of the tank this is the best photo of him I can get. Any ideas as to what they are?

  Wierd tenticle things

  Hi Guys
  
  So Ive 3 of these in my sand and 1 on my live rock. Anyone know what they are? And are they harmful
  
  The tentacles spread around and grab anything that it catches and brings it to centre where I assume its mouth is.

  Clam advice

  Hi All
  
  So Ive had my clam for almost a year now and he is doing well. Think its a Tridacna crocea.
  
  So when I did my crab hunting this morning at 1am. I saw that his foot had let go of the piece of rock he came with.
  
  Is this something to worry about or is its way of saying I want to move to somewhere else in this aquarium?

  LED my Jebo R338

  HI Guys
  
  So I want to LED my Jebo R388. I want to build it to give off enough light for even the most light hungry SPS. Not that I will ever put SPS in it. Its just a test for a larger project. Just would like to know what color temp should I be aiming for ? 10-12k or 12-15k or 17-20k
  
  Going with Cree with 60deg optics and dimmable with a controller

  What the hell is this snail

  So I found 2 of these in my tank today. Dnnt know where they came from as I have not added anything in my tank for months now. But anyway do I kill or let live

  Banner fish harassing Yellow Tang

  Hi All
  
  I put two bannerfish (H. diphreutes) and Purple and a Yellow tang in my tank on Friday. Thought the banner fish were suppose to be peaceful. But every time they see my Yellow tang they swim up very close to the Yellow tang and then body slaps the yellow tang. Yellow tang doesnt even try defend himself. Should I maybe get rid of the banners?

  Ive got CRABS

  HI All
  
  So I got a few crabs with my live rock. About 20kg of live rock from what Ive counted Ive got at least 15 crabs. So the trap method is going to take to long. And Ive got 1 monster crab
  
  Ive read of two other methods. I just want to know if anyone has tried them and how effective were they.
  
  1. Put live rock in a dark container (no water) with a wet cloth over and leave for about an hour. Science behind it is that the crabs will leave the rock looking for water.
  
  2. Put Live rock in a container with a SG of 1.040 for a few moments. Ive got what looks like small cluster of very small zoa's with a green centre on one piece of live rock would this this method kill the zoa?
  
  This method will also get my bristle worms out but I could net them out and return them to the DT

  T5 Config

  Hi all
  
  I have got a 8 tube T5 39w light fitting. I'm want to replace the tubes with Giesemann.
  
  What will the best config be? Planning only to keep softies and maybe LPS corals.
  
  There are so many different types tubes is confusing me

  Pure Actinic
  Actinic Plus

  Been lurking around the site for a few weeks and have done plenty of reading. And looking forward to the challenge. Been keeping FW fish till now. Finally bought a tank Tall 4ft for sale: Randpark - Marine Aquariums of South Africa

  Does anyone have any experience with Dymax skimmer?
  
  Are they any good. Currnetly looking at the Dymax Re-Circulating Skimmer RS-40. Its rated for 1200l. My system is about 600l
