Hey there guys ... I have 2 x Samsung 32" Full HD Tv's for sale ... I bought these for a customer and now they have decided to go bigger for their cctv systems .... These units are still brand new sealed in their boxes and both are going for R500 less than what you would pay in places like Hi-Fi Corp or Game ..... The guarantee will be honored by my surveillance company and Samsung themselves will gladly entertain you as this is not grey market stuff .... The only pics I have are of the boxes as the units are still sealed so obviously don't have pics of the actual units but these are the labels on them .... These tv's have to go so if you feel you have a reasonable offer .. Let me know but like I said ... Do your homework and check if you can buy them cheaper than this in a shop ....
The 32" 3D 6000 series is going for R8000 and the 32" 5000 series for R5500 .... If you in Jhb or Durbs I can maybe organise getting it to you free but Cpt is best via courier and I can pay half the freight charges ....

Float switches

OK .. in light of my most recent disaster I'm looking for about 10 of these float switches .... What I need to know is ... Do you get like a float switch with double contacts ... as in making contact when water level is high or low or will I require 2 switches to do this .... And are these normally open or normally closed contacts ... I'm thinking to connect these switches to alert me when water levels are too high (indicating a blockage in the overflow) or too low (telling me there is a freakin bloody leak) ... I will have these connected to my SMS module so that I'm informed at the earliest and try to avert me committing suicide:( ... So plz can I have some quotes on these switches ... -

Hey there all .... In light of my predator tank looking a little bare was thinking of adding a zoa garden with a few sprouts of xenia inbetween .... Theres only the 2 lions in there so anyone see a problem with these corals and lions ... Was looking at these two corals as the lighting wont be very demanding and I wont have to be putting my hands in there too often ... Just let grow like weeds ...... -

Long weekend in June Holiday @ Durban Spa

Hi guys due to my sister announcing expecting a new "frag" and according to "doctors orders" we all can't make this booking at Durban Spa on the beachfront .... It is a 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom 8 sleeper self catering apartment at the complex for the 17th of June 2011 till the 20th June 2011 ....(Not 100% but the 3 times we stayed there we had a sea facing unit and a blast of a time with indoor swimming heated pool, sauna) Willing to let this go for R3000 .... If you got 8 people this equates to like just 125 bucks per person per night and June 16th is a public holiday:thumbup: Anyone interested .... Mods don't know about pics on this one .... Maybe the actual reservation guest certificate? -

What are the frequencies of red light and blue light?

Why is red light important for plants?

Seems like favourable times and conditions for a get together and specimen collection .... I'm the juvies will be around too and if the sardines come round then at least you can have enough fish to fill the freezer .... What do your'll guys say ..... Pretoria/Gauteng members should hire a bus and get their butts down to the coast too for a mass MASA braai ... A little bit far but all those going south of Durbs are also invited ..... Huskies - Free to good home

Hey all - dont know if anyone likes these beauties .... They belong to my sis and are free to a good home ..... They will be 2 years old next month and are brother and sister .... They are up to date with all their innoculations with paperwork and the female has been spayed already .... Their elder brother and parents are giving them a hard time and before they get seriously injured my sis has decided to let them go free to a good home ....
The male has a slight wound (a tooth mark) below his eye but has already been to the vet and said its minor and will heal very quickly .... other than that they in very good health ..... Just before the dominance streaks start to show their ugly sides it might be better if they where separated from their parents .... Preferably if they could be taken as a pair as they have grown up together and are pack dogs by nature so I think they would be better if they stayed together - Jade (the female) has both blue eyes and Ceaser has one brown, one blue eye ....

Oceanographic surveyors of the sea floor in the area of the Bermuda Triangle and the North Sea region between continental Europe and Great Britain have discovered significant quantities of methane hydrates and older eruption sites.

Step aside outer space aliens, time anomalies, submerged giant Atlantean pyramids and bizarre meteorological phenomena ... the "Triangle" simply suffers from an acute case of gas.
Natural gas—the kind that heats ovens and boils water—specifically methane, is the culprit behind the mysterious disappearances and loss of water and air craft.
The evidence for this astounding new insight into a mystery that's bedeviled the world is laid out in a research paper published in the American Journal of Physics.
Professor Joseph Monaghan researched the hypothesis with honor student David May at the Monash University in Melbourne, Australia.
The two hypothesized that large methane bubbles rising from the ocean floor might account for many, if not all, of the mysterious disappearances of ships and aircraft at specific locales around the world.
Researcher Ivan T. Sanderson identified these mystery areas during the 1960s. Sanderson described the actual shape of these regions as more like a lozenge rather than a triangle. Some of the more famous spots include an area in the Sea of Japan, the North Sea, and of course the infamous "Bermuda (or Devil's) Triangle."
Oceanographic surveyors of the sea floor in the area of the Bermuda Triangle and the North Sea region between continental Europe and Great Britain have discovered significant quantities of methane hydrates and older eruption sites.
Because of the correlations and existing data, the two envisioned what would happen when gigantic methane bubbles explode from natural fissures on the seafloor.
The methane—normally frozen at great pressure as gas hydrates embedded within subterranean rock—can become dislodged and transform into gaseous bubbles expanding geometrically as they explode upwards. When these bubbles reach the surface of the water they soar into the air, still expanding upwards and outwards.
Any ships caught within the methane mega-bubble immediately lose all buoyancy and sink to the bottom of the ocean. If the bubbles are big enough and possess a high enough density they can also knock aircraft out of the sky with little or no warning. Aircraft falling victim to these methane bubbles will lose their engines-perhaps igniting the methane surrounding them-and immediately lose their lift as well, ending their flights by diving into the ocean and swiftly plummeting -

Hey all ... I'm thinking this not so much to corals but more fish and inverts in general .... Can we put together a list of creatures living in our tanks with their "average" life spans ... This needs to be more of a guide where one can refer to quickly and get some idea of a creature's life span maybe before buying it or have it dying in your care and not getting a shock knowing that it is reaching its end.... Guys this needs to be figures that you have done research on or personally experienced so as not to have misleading info ... For example like I heard shrimps have like an average 2 year lifespan or wrasses live for about .... years or maybe tangs live for ... years or a blue tail lobster for .... years .... Your'll get the idea ..... Try to be specific if you can and if possible if you've had tried a particular species more than once and had repeated life spans or members that can confirm their experiences with other members than we can conclude in an average aquarium where everything is running without major issues than you can enjoy "xxxxxxx" fish or invert for "xxxxxxx" years before it's time up....... -

Hey all .... is there any reefers out there in the Randburg/Linksfield or Pretoria area near Lanzo that have a variety of frags and cheap cheap prices (like R50 under) or any hardware or even broken marine related stuff like old pumps and whatever you want to give away (cheato or calurpa is most welcome also)- I am attending an uncles 80th birthday party in Linksfield on the 5th of next month and staying at a cousins place in Randburg (Sundowner suberb) So on Sunday morning 6th I have to make my way to Lanzo to pick up some stuff from him and then would like be home before dark (oh almost forgot must get to Springs by Max as well) As I usually make the most of my trips to "big cities" would appreciate it if you have something and let me know (here or via pm) Thanks to all in advance
