- What would be the best way to set-up the filter at the back? (I want to eventually have a small reef tank)
- Is it ok if I only have lava rock in the beginning while the system matures? When should I add LR or is it not necessary?

Hi all, I am a complete newbie to this hobby. I bought a boyu TL550 this weekend (After a fit of temporary insanity) and have set it up as far as I could. I currently have no LS in as I understand that the system should first mature. After reading a lot of the comments on this forum I have a couple of questions though. So here goes:
