Hi guys,
Please help, I think there may be something wrong with my CBB? :(:(
I went home this morning around 10:30 to find the the main plug that supplies all the power to my tank was switched off, not sure for how long but I left home around 8:40am so not longer than 1hr40min. The tank has gone longer without power but I always stuck in an air pump, anyway, got home and got a skrik, switched power back on and noticed right away the CBB laying on the substrate.
a few sec's later, he started swimming but I noticed his mouth was gaping and breathing quite rapidly, also it's tummy looks unusually fat.
if anybody can please advise as to what the problem may be? :(:(:(
I'm busy uploading a vid as well, will post as soon as it's done.

Ok, I've read on a few threads that banana's can be used to entice fish that are not eating so today I went home at lunch time and while snacking on one I decided to stick a piece in (not that any of them are not eating, just wanted to test the theory), all the fish, especially the triggers, went... well...... BANANA'S!!
My question is, are there any consequences in feeding small amounts (like pinky finger nail size) to the fishes?
Anybody else try feeding banana's? -

Yeah....as the title says. During feeding this morning, Morris just chilled in his corner, he usually dashes for the mussel but not this morning, even after adding the other frozen food he showed no interest at all.
So I sat around the tank for about 15mins studying him the noticed that his butt was...... hmmmmmm.... how can I best describe this...? Looked like a bottle necked road block! I could see the k@k but it wasn't coming out!!:P it (his bung hol) was probably stretched to about 4-6mm:eek:
Should I intervene or let nature take its course? -

My first mandarin was acquired when my tank was about 3months old, bad advice from a certain lfs and sadly it lasted just over a month. I now have a male for close to a year, spends it's days hunting pods but also eats flakes, pellets, brine & mysis. I have been thinking of getting a female but wondering if it would be a problem or not? are they difficult to pair? -

How do you put a value to your setup? Was thinking about this last night and was just wondering....I would take into consideration the time spent over the (few)years jumping hurdles, money spent on food, maintenance, replacing equipment parts etc,etc, age of live stock/corals ie: purchased juvi's and now (healthy) adults....so all things considered, how would you put a price tag on your setup should you decide to sell?
