Just a question from my side - am I allowed to advertise my two puppies on this forum?

Hi, hope someone can assist. I was given chaeto a few months ago and noticed that it did not really grow much. Can someone please tell me what type of lighting is best for these? (and also, if possible, where will I be able to find/buy it).

Morning, I have recently read a lot about Elegance Coral and that they are hard to keep. Does anyone have any experience on these? (Are they still locally available?)

Evening, hope someone can help. I noticed in my green carpet coral (do not really know the correct name) something that appears for a few seconds and then retreat. It almost look like a long thin feathery white claw.
I know aptaisia but is it possible that this can be something similiar?
(sorry I do not have a photo).

Currently I got two T5, (24W) tubes in my 150 liter tank and would like to add another two T5 (24W) tubes. What would be the best advice ? Will the fish / coral get stressed by the sudden additional light? I was thinking of adding one tube and may be after a day of two add the second.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Hi there, I bought a plate coral (purple) and would like some advise. I'v read that they are active at night and can even move a few centimeters. Even say that you need to secure it with a rock or two. Some advise on this one would be appreciated.

Afternoon, I am one of those who started with a smaller (90 liter) tank and now plan to go for +/- 200 liter. I have read an article that the switch over can be done more or less as follows:
By filling the new tank 3/4 full of water and let it run for about 24 hours. Then test for pH and temperature and if no difference proceed with the move of your life rock and gravel and lastly your fish.
Can some one please tell me whether this sounds correct and what about coral/ Can it also be moved together with the fish? (I do not plan to run the old tank at the same time any longer). What about nitrite and nitrate levels at this stage?
Please advise.

Hi, a question - can a nitrate reactor replace a protein skimmer in a 90 liter nano tank?

Hallo, can someone please help? I got blue as well as green mushroom coral in my tank for almost 5 months now and today some of the blue mushrooms just inflate. What is the reason for this?

Hope someone can advise on this - I noted that the water in my garden pond (holding 5 goldfish) test 0 ppm for both Nitrite and Nitrate. Was now thinking - can this water replace the RO water I buy for my marine tank? (after red sea salt has been mixed into it).
Just to add - I only top up the water in the garden pond, which is crystal clear.

Evening, hope some one can assist me. I got a canister filter (placed inside a plastic container) with my 95 liter tank. Today we had a 45 minutes power cut and when I got home I found that about 6 liter water has been sucked out of the tank out by its seal on top of the filter and into the plastic container. Is there anything I can do to prevent this happening again?

Good Day,
Because I am still learning I read that Coralline Alage is a must for your tank. Can you buy this from pet shop? (it seems that I do have some on my life rock but it may not be enough).

Hi,
I have read that some people use sugar to lower nitrate levels. Was just wondering whether this is true, what will the long term effects be?

Hi,
My tank (90 liter) is now 6 months old and currently have - 1 clownfish, 2 damsel, 1 firefish, 1 goby, 1 shrimp, 1 porcelain crab and 2 soft coral.
Today I have done a 40% water change. The Ph, Ammonia and Nitrite test OK but the Nitrate test at 40ppm.
Can someone please tell me how I can successfully lower the nirtate level? (I believe it is still to high?)

Hallo,
I am now 6 months into this and wonder if there is somebody who can tell me whether rain water is safe to be used as an alternative to RO water?
