  Hi Guys,
  after much research and hard work! finally decided to order CREE LEDs from RapidLed,
  I though in order to save me and you guys some money on shipping and taxes i open this thread for group ordering for guys in cape town, and also other cities if interested.:thumbup:
  I'm also trying to see if mike is giving us a better rate, if we can increase the volume,
  So if anyone is interested, write down what you want to order, and i'll send all the requests to him to see what offer he can give us,
  And payments for the products have to be made in full to me before ordering, and once i received all the stock and paid for the shipping and taxes i'll divide the cost between all, and for other cities additional shipping will be charged.
  You can also make the payment to Rapidled site and tell mike that it should come with Hadiosbourne's shipping.
  I'm planning to order by end of june/ Beginning of july if i get sufficient requests to worthwhile ordering,you can save atleast R600-R700. So, through your lists!:yeahdude:

  RSM 130D LED , Bridgelux Or Cree, Cons pros

  Hi Guys,
  I've been thinking of upgrading my red sea max 130D lighting for a while,
  After a vast research, i've been left with 2options,
  Bridgelux : Aquarium 36 LEDs Dimmable DIY LED kit with optics
  
  Cree: Red Sea Max 130D Dimmable Retrofit Kit - Rapid LED
  
  I'm very confused as i'm not sure how much LEDs i'll need,
  I want to be able to cater for all sorts of popular corals, SPS, LPS, clams
  
  The first option which is a much cheaper option has 36LEDs, 3watt each,
  And has optics, doesn't come with heatsink, but its not more than $50 for heatsink
  
  
  
  
  
  Second one, Well is CREE! quite costly in compare to the first option, and less LEDs,

  Both are Dimmable,
  I'm not about the color ration that i need.
  The Cree one comes with:
  

  • 14 Royal Blue XT-E CREE LEDs

  • 13 Cool White XP-G LEDs

  
  Which the ratio can be changed

  • White 10000K
  • Royal Blue 452-455nm

  I've got a RSM130 , the fish needs a bigger tank to grow, I think its about 1,5 years old,
  Its very active and eats perfectly.
  I'm not sure its because of my stock lighting or not, but its the most beautiful yellow color i ever seen. You're welcome to see it for yourself.

  Hi Guys,
  Just wanted to know your idea about my tank, Do i have too much flow in the tank?:confused1:
  There are 2 wave makers behind liverocks on both the sides,
  On the left top i've got 2 stock power heads, and on the right top i have another power head,

  Does Sea Urchin helps the nitrate reduction?

  Hi Guys,
  I just wondering if sea urchin are beneficial to a tank which struggling with nitrate,
  Do they really help with reducing nitrate or they just make it worse,
  I believe they leave a lot of residue.

  harlequin shrimp care

  Hi Guys,
  I'm buying a pair of harlequin shrimps in a couple of days,So i'm trying to get as much as info i can for keeping them,Would appreciate if anyone can answer my questions:
  1. what water conditions they need to live in, (I know cleaner shrimps are very sensitive to alkinity changes) my alkinity was a bit low and i'm trying to raise it for the past month , but it really takes long to get it right, mine is about 6 (not quiet sure) and the PH is about 8 (i think it should be a bit lower)
  
  2. How to feed them (I'm planing to keep them in my RSM 130 with my other fishes, maroon clown, yellow tang , regal tang, mono angel) do i just need to put the cushion star fish in the tank and they'll find them and eat them? or i need to move them somewhere along with the cushions in order to get them to eat?
  
  3. how often i've to feed them?
  
  4. are they sensible to nitrate? (I'm having a problem with nitrate also for long time and trying to get it lower but haven't succeeded yet)
  
  Really appreciate any helps.

  My Paired Clown fishes don't lay eggs!:(

  Hi There,
  I've got a breeding pair of clown fish ,but it seems they don't lay eggs,
  I got them around 6month ago from a friend with the tank,
  they used to lay eggs regularly when they were with my bud, but now its been 6month and i keep searching whole the tank and don't find anything,
  The water parameters are normal expect PH is a bit low, around 7.9
  And nitrate is a bit high like 20.0 ml
  
  Do they need special water condition to lay eggs?
  Or is it possible they aren't pair anymore for some reason?
  
  Any advice is appreciated.:(

  When Curing the live rock is done?

  Hey guys,
  I received a couple of dead fiji live rocks from my friend to add extra rock to my tank,The rocks been out for over 3weeks, so it was completely dead, i cleaned the rock throughly and added them to a bucket with a heater and a circulation pump, i did a water change after a week, and now i'm sitting on second week,
  I tested the water:
  Ammonia 0
  Nitrite 0
  Nitrate 25mg
  
  Does anyone know if the nitrate is something to worry?Or it will be alright?
  
  Any advice is appreciated. :1:
