  ASPESX sponge filter

  I am looking for a aspesx sponge filter 2 x single sponge or the double sponge. Make does not have to be aspesx. Did anybody in the JHB area possibly see any in store or are there masa sponsers with these in stock.
  
  If you have in stock I am willing to fund a courier collection today
  
  Any lead will be appreciated, know I saw some a week ago but not a clue where !!!!

  Is nobody selling decapsulated brine shrimp any more

  Hi Guys,
  
  I have been looking around for some decapsulated brine-shrimp eggs without having to make it myself.
  
  A few years ago it was a pretty common product on the market and I still find it listed on overseas sites. Am I looking at the wrong shops, any MASA dealers with stock.
  
  Appreciate some help, based in JHB but if there is a source in one of the other provinces I will pay and courier

  anybody that can help with newly hatched brine-shrimp

  Hi Guys,
  
  I am in urgent need of some newly hatched brine shrimp today (22/11). My hatch failed yesterday and the new one has not hatched as yet. Anybody in the Gauteng area that could be of help. One or two day old hatch would also be fine.
  
  Any help would be appreciated but it has to be small not adult brine please

  Anybody knows where to get this heater

  I am trying to get a few of the smaller heaters (see picture), the reason for the specific heater is size related. The smallest aquarium heaters I have come across in South Africa are still pretty large for use in a smaller tank. Anybody know of a MASA dealer or distributor based in South Africa or do I need to order via Amazon

  sterilizing tank prior to start up

  Quick question -
  Some of my marine tanks, equipment etc. that I had in storage was exposed to Doom "Room Fogger". I would like to use these items again but I am not sure what would be the best method of cleaning prior to use.
  
  Is there a excepted norm when disinfecting and cleaning equipment before use. Appreciate any help

  good source for 40L tanks

  Hi Guys,
  
  I need 5 X 40L tanks,
  
  None of the tanks need any filtration - will be using Sponge filters for filtration and heaps of water changes.
  
  Any source of reasonably priced Nano's available - price, rather than heaps of added cheap filtration devices etc is of importance. Anybody on the forum that can build tanks ?
  
  Any help would be appreciated, if any of the sponsors could help, please let me know and I will pop in to see what you have available.

  Red Sea Salt formula - anybody

  I am hoping that there are some mathematical geniuses in the group.
  
  If 1kg of red sea salt mixed with 30L water gives you a specific gravity of 1.021, how could I determine how much salt I need to create 2L with a specific gravity of 1.015.
  
  I know mix and measure is probably the easiest way, but I was wondering if there was a easier way to determine the weight

  Was wondering if there are any good sources for frozen oyster eggs and pure spirulina (not mixed with a heap of other stuff). Most of the links I find are overseas based and I am trying to get some locally.

  One Pet Shop in Cape Town I have to visit

  Last few days for me in Cape Town. I have however had dismall success when it comes to marine shops with the three I visited, being either badly stocked, small variety or the last one not stocked at all. (waiting for citis).
  
  If there was one Marine dealer I should visit before I go, who would it be ?

  catching copepods and other small cultures in the Cape

  Always hear how easy it is to get copepods in Sea-Point Cape Town, I am keen to get into the rock pools and catch some but Sea-Point has one mass of rock pools, where should I be looking ?
  
  Any marine guys in the Cape possibly hitting rock pools in the next two weeks, I would love to join

  sea-horse sightings

  because I have been waiting ever so patiently for my overseas shipment of seahorses to arrive, I was wondering if there has been any Sea-horse sightings in the trade. I missed on two beauties in Roodepoort a few weeks ago and would hate to know there are one or two waiting for a new home.

  Hawaiin lava rock wanted - any idea's

  Welcome addition or a potensial problem

  Hi Guys,
  
  My starter dwarf sea horse tank has become a host for these guys (photo below) and they are not shy at breeding and growing.
  
  Should I be concerned and start getting them out of the tank or are they beneficial. Please remember this would be for a dwarf seahorse tank and a small sting could kill them.
  
  Amphipods and copepods are now everywhere and I would hate to clear out the tank and lose all the good hitch hikers in the tank
  
  Any and all opinions appreciated

  Hi everybody,
  
  I am trying to find some copepods and amphipods to add to my marine tank while there are no Sea-Horses yet. I have specifically catered for their ability to breed and hide as this would not become the main diet of the seahorses.
  
  Is there anybody online with cultures for sale, a few in a bag would be great as I am not seeing any seahorses moving in for some time in the foreseeable future.
  
  Would appreciate any help, direction or advice

  Opae Ola Hawain shrimp

  I set up breeding tank for the little red Hawaiian shrimp, biological name "opae ola". In America they are bred in mass amounts and also used for feeding. I unfortunately only have one left after a water related problem in there breeding tank. Anybody on the group possibly breed or sell any of these shrimp

  Sea Horses wanted

  I use to be a active Sea-Horse breeder in South Africa but stopped a few years back. I recently started up a marine tank specifically for Sea-Horses again and I am looking for a recommendation supplier wise. I prefer tank bread seahorses and even more specifically Dwarf Seahorse.
  
  Anybody with a active interest in this area that could be of help. If not I can import dwarf seahorses from the states but would like to make the order relatively large - anybody keen on sharing the order
  
  I would appreciate any advice
