Hi.
I need help combating this bright red carpet algea that is only growing on my rocks. Going to start using np pellets in my reactor and have reduced my lighting hours down to 5 hours. Tank was looking lovely and out of nowhere pop.
This is a second hand system that i purchased in october. System has been running since then. This bloom started in late december and is really a worry.
Dont wanna loose what i have.

Newbie needs a tank

Hi.
My name is Shafiq. I'm from the lowveld, Nelspruit.
Took interest in marine tanks awhile back and have been reading a lot of books and posts on this site.
Starting of the month my wife made a deal with me, no mods to my car and a less smoking = marine tank. Hope to get a tank end of the month, problem is my lfs asks too much for a setup. R10 000. And that's for tank, sump, skimmer and pumps which Seems ridicolous.size of the tank was 600X500X600.
I would love to have a 2meter long tank, have the perfect spot in my lounge for it,
Need to get in contact with someone who can either build me a setup that size with sump or someone who has a similiar setup for sale.
P.S. I stay in the lowveld, Nelspruit.
